The Mendip Hills Quantock Hills and Exmoor National Park are all within easy reach as well as many other popular attractions such as Cheddar Gorge Wookey Hole and Glastonbury Tor. Ideally situated to see the popular Burnham-on-Sea & Weston-Super-Mare Carnivals which are usually held in November and attract thousands of spectators each year. The city of Wells famous for its beautiful cathedral boutique shops and restaurants also offers a great day out and slightly further afield you ll find the popular cultural city of Bath well-known for its Roman baths. The large garden and patio is great for those wishing to relax or for a taste of sea air the long sandy beach at Burnham-on-Sea is well worth the short drive. Farm activities: guests are welcomed with the owner s supervision to help feed the chickens ducks and other animals and collect freshly laid eggs. The accommodation offers FOUR bedrooms: 1 master double with bunk beds (suitable for children only) and washbasin 1 double 1 twin with washbasin and downstairs 1 further double. Bathroom: corner bath with shower over and WC. Shower room and separate WC on the ground floor. Lounge: with woodburner (first basket of logs included) TV DVD Freeview. Kitchen/diner: well-equipped with electric oven and hob fridge microwave dishwasher and breakfast bar. Utility room: with washing machine separate freezer and wine rack. And the best way to experience the county’s many attractions is from your base in one of our holiday cottages in Somerset. Bath has some of Britain’s most majestic Georgian architecture, as well as the famous Roman Baths (not mention great shopping). Then there’s Wells, England’s smallest city. Wandering around the cathedral close, with its unspoilt medieval lanes is like taking a step back in time. And for a real sense of mystery, there’s Glastonbury (home of the world-famous music festival), supposedly the site of King Arthur’s mythical Avalon. All await you on one of our Somerset cottage holidays. The county has more than its fair share of beach resorts too. The Grand Pier at Weston-Super-Mare is superb, as is the wide beach here, while Minehead and Burnham-on-Sea offer a choice of traditional seaside pleasures. Meanwhile, for nature lovers there’s the wild landscape of Exmoor, and the Mendip and Quantock Hills, both Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Cheddar Gorge is truly stunning. Great for real Cheddar cheese too!
